This title may be removed during checkout if you choose to add a different NFPA standard to your cart, and pricing will be recalculated accordingly.
Help ensure improved fire safety and compliance with the 2021 edition of NFPA 34, Standard for Dipping, Coating, and Printing Processes Using Flammable or Combustible Liquids.
Essential for fire safety in industrial buildings, NFPA 34 addresses dipping, roll coating, flow coating, printing, and similar procedures using flammable or combustible liquids.
NFPA 34 provides requirements for the following:
Proper location, design, and construction of dipping and coating equipment
Installation of electrical equipment and control of ignition sources
Handling of flammable liquids
Operations and maintenance
Ventilation
The latest updates for the 2021 edition NFPA 34 include the following:
"Class I" was removed from references to "Class I, Zone 0," "Class I, Zone 1," and "Class I, Zone 2" to match the latest requirements in NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code®.
The term ignitible was added to references of "flammable or combustible liquids" to align with the most current changes to NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.
Revisions to Chapter 8, Storage, Handling, and Distribution of Flammable and Combustible Liquids, were expanded to include flash point and ignitible liquid requirements from NFPA 30. These new terms were also added to the list of defined terms in Chapter 3 to provide clarity for the user.
The general requirements in Chapter 4 were expanded to allow the user additional options in meeting the requirements for limited-combustible materials.
