ASTM F3699

Scope

1.1 This guide provides a framework for training related to installer responsibilities and the related material at the end of this guide, and it provides standardized information and fundamentals for use when certifying, training, and hiring recreation area installers, by identifying bodies of knowledge needed to sufficiently train installers to perform the responsibilities of a recreation area installer, working as laborers, leads, and foremen.

1.1.2.2 Developing more knowledgeable contractors with specialized training to manufacturers and owner-operators.

1.1.2.3 Recognizing manufacturers’ training of installers on product-specific information.

1.1.2.4 Establishing recognized categories of construction skills, that is, laborer, lead, and foreman.

1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.

1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
