Description of ASTM-F2066 2011ASTM F2066 - 11Standard Specification for Wrought Titanium-15 Molybdenum Alloy for Surgical Implant Applications (UNS R58150)Active Standard ASTM F2066 | Developed by Subcommittee: F04.12 Book of Standards Volume: 13.01 ASTM F2066Abstract This specification covers the chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical requirements for wrought titanium-15 molybdenum alloy to be used in the manufacture of surgical implants. The product shall be classified as: strip; sheet; plate; bar; or wire. The heat analysis shall conform to the chemical composition prescribed. Material shall be furnished in the beta annealed condition. Bend tests and tension tests shall be performed to conform to the specified requirements. This abstract is a brief summary of the referenced standard. It is informational only and not an official part of the standard; the full text of the standard itself must be referred to for its use and application.
