Unlocking Wastewater's Potential, 2024

What is wastewater energy recovery and how does it apply to the future of energy efficiency and decarbonization? In this course, we will explore how this previously overlooked source of energy loss from buildings can be utilized to endlessly recover and recycle energy within projects ranging from individual multifamily residential buildings to commercial and industrial applications and even to district energy networks. Wastewater heat recovery and transfer technologies used in small- and large-scale applications are also discussed, with case studies showcasing the practical applications and garnered benefits.

  • Recognize the shift in energy demands with new building practices and where energy losses still occur, as well as the latent energy.
  • Potential of wastewater and the properties that make it a valuable energy resource, contributing to energy conservation and sustainability.

Faculty BIO

Brock Trimble is the Director of Technical Sales at SHARC Energy. He has been involved in the mechanical industry for over a decade, holding a Canadian Red Seal ticket in plumbing and a Class B gasfitter license. He first worked with SHARC Energy Systems as a contractor during the early development and installation of the first SHARC systems.



With extensive first-hand knowledge of the products, he officially joined the SHARC Energy team in 2016 as the Production and Maintenance Supervisor for the Vancouver headquarters for several years. He then moved into his current role as the Technical Sales Manager.



Brock's expertise and experience in the mechanical industry, combined with his in-depth understanding of SHARC's products, make him an invaluable asset to the team and a trusted advisor to the company's clients. He is dedicated to providing exceptional service and support to ensure that SHARC's products are installed and maintained to the highest standards.
