1. Scope
1.1 This test method covers the wavelength dispersive X-ray spectrometric analysis of low-alloy steels for the following elements:

Silicon | 0.06 to 1.5 |
Molybdenum | 0.005 to 1.5 |

Vanadium | 0.012 to 0.6 |
Cobalt | 0.03 to 0.2 |
Sulfur | 0.009 to 0.1 |
Niobium | 0.002 to 0.1 |
Phosphorus | 0.010 to 0.08 |
Calcium | 0.001 to 0.007 |
