Description of ASTM-E1230 1996ASTM E1230-96Withdrawn Standard: Test Method for the Approximate Determination of Low Molecular Weight Hydrocarbons in Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride (Withdrawn 2001)ASTM E1230Scope 1.1 This test method is applicable for the approximate determination of C1-C6 hydrocarbons in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (HF) in the range of 0.0001 to 0.1%. 1.2 The values as stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard, except in cases where measures for fittings are given and where standard gases are certified in terms of part per million. The values given in parentheses are given for information only. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
